TUYISHIMIRE Jean Bonfils is a Technology Advisor of RRGO since its beginning of operations in Rwanda. He holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. He has been leading all technical matters of RRGO as far as the technology is concerned.
TUYISHIMIRE Jean Bonfils is a co-founder and chairman of Africa Cybersecurity Consortium (ACC) which is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide cybersecurity advisory and consulting services across Africa. TUYISHIMIRE Jean Bonfils has been offering various cybersecurity trainings in partnership with IBM to the communities in Rwanda. TUYISHIMIRE Jean Bonfils has been involved in various cybersecurity awareness programmes to ensure the communities are empowered with the required cybersecurity skills and knowledge which enable them to protect themselves from cyber-threats and cyber-attacks.
TUYISHIMIRE Jean Bonfils is also currently serving as the Director of Digital Information at Rwanda Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board (RMB). He is responsible for the overall digitalization of RMB services, system and application development, coordination and management and their respective security. At RMB, he has been coordinating the team under his supervision to set up the security measures and access controls for Mineral Certification Information System (MCIS) and Geological Information and Mining Cadastre System (GIMCS), RMB Data Cloud and Collaboration Platform (RMB Cloud), and other systems and applications.
TUYISHIMIRE Jean Bonfils also serves as the Advisor in various other companies and organizations to ensure the digitalization of their respective services are properly developed and managed. He is also a co-founder and board member of Hamwenawe Group Ltd and Imari Business Group Ltd. Finally, He is also a researcher in the IT industry and has currently published two (2) research papers.
