COMMUNITY RESILIENCY MODEL SKILLS IN 4th WORLD CONGRESS OF RESILIENCE.

Dr. Jean MUTABARUKA was representing Rwanda Resilience   and Grounding organization in 4th World Congress of resilience, Marseille, France on (28th -30th )June 2018.

He was presenting the research about” THE ROLE OF THE COMMUNITY RESILIENCY MODEL SKILLS TRAINING IN TRAUMA HEALING AMONG 1994 TUTSI GENOCIDE SURVIVORS IN RWANDA.By HABIMANA,S., MUSEKA,E., BIRACYAZA,E., HABUMUGISHA,E., & MUTABARUKA,J.

 

The 4th World Congress was aimed to bring answers to this question, Resilio – international Association for the promotion and the dissemination of research on the impact strength – organize in Marseille (France), from 28 till 30 June 2018, in partnership with the LPED – University Aix-Marseille, the Fourth world congress on the Resilience. On this occasion, researchers and practitioners of all the domains where is used the concept of Resilience exchanged on the professional practices based on the concept of Resilience, draw up balance sheet available “know-how”, to discuss how the theory of the Resilience modified their practices and to determine the future working directions.

In this regard, the role of the Community Resiliency Model (CRM)skills training in trauma healing among 1994 Tutsi genocide survivors in Rwanda was selected and presented.

Rwanda resilience and Grounding organization is calling up on other researchers and partners,NGOs, Private institution, Funders of researcher and individual funders to conduct other research about” COMMUNITY RESILIENCY MODELS SKILLS HEALING EFFECTS AND POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDERS SYNDROMES.”

Montgomery findings (2016) revealed that PTSD in the clinical range decreased from 38 to 33 percent, clinical depression fell from 46 to 22 percent, and clinical levels of anxiety declined from 29 to 18 percent. However, it seems that the research are not yet conducted to identify which type of skills contribute on healing specific PTSD syndromes. This research aims to identify the role of each of the six CRM   skills to decrease which PTSD syndromes
