Resiliency comes from small spore.

My husband, children and my families had died during the genocide. I saved from river by unknown man. It was in difficulty periods and I did not recognize him. It is  hard for  interpreted nor talking deeper. It is my personal story” I did not think that one day I will back on my time (my time before genocide), ability to be happy, ability to engage in a job productive like educating child or farming, good emotional security, and the ability to build satisfying relationships with others.

After genocide, my thought was blocked and unable to concentrate to anything. I was ikiyagayaga (anything’s neither touch nor see). I had been told that I should consult mental health professional however I failure to go because I did not see any important for consult him.

2015, June, I attended COMMUNITY RESILIENCY MODEL skills at home village. We got four days of trainings .CRM skills trainings changed me not immediately but as long as I used the skills I have been healed and witnessed on my resilience process.

In the trainings, the trainer asked me anything made me happy, I could not get anything .He wrote seven things   which made people happy normal. He requested me to choose any among them. I chose a cow. He asked me more about cow. I was replied him by referring on the small cow I have at my home. After the trainings, he told me that it is important to keep caw in my thoughts   and remember how it is good and benefited to me.

Since that time, I love my cow and every day, I look after my cow and I am optimistic that I will have more   and more and I share to other benefited from how cow heal trauma and how can make people friendly. I am now ability to be happy, ability to engage in a job productive ,good emotional security, and the ability to build satisfying relationships with others without any judgement”.She is now able to go with us and spready resilience skills among Rwanda community.
